WELCOME TO YATTAW SCHOOL

Yattaw School for Community Studies – YSCS is a non-profit community based organisation offering a range of academic and vocational education programmes, bridging learning opportunities between local, national and international.

Yattaw is referred to as the mangrove in Tavoyan language (Dawei dialect). Mangroves are essential for the coastal areas like the Taninthatyi Region and which are also ecospheres and habitants for countless biodiversity. In honour of the mangrove contributing to the ecosystem, our school was named ‘Mangrove’ (Yattaw).
